Dear Birth Parent:
We are Brian and Julie. We have been married more than 11 years now, but our relationship started out as friends about 19 years ago. We went to church together and participated in many church activities together. Brian surprised me with a dozen roses on my 16th birthday and we soon started dating. We attended college and were married during Brian’s senior year. I graduated from WV State University with a BS in Elementary Education and Brian graduated from Davis and Elkins College with a BS in Chemistry and Biology. We both continued our education with Brian earning a Doctorate of Pharmacy and Julie earning a Masters in Leadership Studies. We both have wonderful jobs that give us excellent financial stability. I am an elementary school Principal and Brian is the Corporate Director of Pharmacy at a local hospital. We have a strong love and a relationship that can weather any storm. We have the financial ability to buy whatever material possessions we can imagine, but our biggest desire is to have a family.
We tried for many years to have children, but later found that we were unable to have a family on our own. We have lots of love to share with a child. We currently enjoy spoiling our nephews, niece, children of our friends and the little ones in my Sunday school class. Our circumstances are not what we would have designed but we believe that you choose to be happy or not. Our choice is to be happy. We try to be an example for all of the children that God puts in our path and then when His timing is right we will have a child of our own to surround with love.
Brian and I truly enjoy spending time together. We are very active and we enjoy family centered activities. We love to boat, fish, hunt, shop, spend time with family and play with our many animals. We have a miniature farm that includes a mini horse, mini donkey and four miniature goats. We live on about 3 acres with plenty of room to run and play.
We are both blessed with a strong family support system. We know what it is like to grow up in a loving, supportive and safe environment. Our parents are very excited to be grandparents. For Julie’s parents it will be their first grandchild and they can hardly wait. Our child will be surrounded with love and support throughout his/her life.
As you make this tough decision you may be thinking that life isn’t fair. We have thought the same thing over and over as we have tried to have children of our own. However, we have learned that everything happens for a reason. Your decision could change our lives forever so we would like to give you this promise. We promise to love this baby unconditionally, give them safety and stability and be with them every step of the way.
Sincerely,
Brian and Julie
