About Us
We were partners in his brother and my friend’s wedding. While dancing the bridal party dance, he jokingly asked, “So, when do I get to drive that Mustang of yours?” I cleverly replied, “Whenever you decide to ask me out.” The rest is history. We have a strong commitment to our marriage. We are responsible, hardworking people, but we also know that life is just way too short not to enjoy yourself. We enjoy spending time together, whether it is simple trip to the grocery store or an outing to the movies. We have a wonderful life together, awesome friends, loving family, jobs that we love, a beautiful house, but we also have a strong desire to embark on the incredible journey of parenthood.
Our Decision to Adopt
After careful thought and consideration, we have decided that adoption is the way we will build our family. We have such peace in our hearts about adopting that we know it is the path we were meant to take. Kristin was raised with an older brother who was adopted, and Keith was raised with a step-brother and two half siblings. We believe that these experiences will be helpful to our child. Our view is that unconditional love and support is what makes a family, not a bloodline or a heritage. Our philosophy is that we will tell our child from a young age that they were brought to our family through adoption. We will reassure that the adoption decision his/her birthmother made was made out of love.
Our Home and Our Family
We consider our family to be one of our most precious gifts. Luckily, all of our family live very close to us, making it possible to get together quite often. We love to host backyard barbeques, and many holidays at our home. Family vacations to Myrtle Beach, boating on the river, and roasting smores around the campfire are a few of our favorite family traditions. Both of our families are very supportive of our decision to adopt and are anxiously awaiting our new addition.
We live in a three bedroom split entry house. Our large backyard is fenced in with plenty of room to run and play. Our neighborhood is very desirable, quiet, and safe, with lots of friendly neighbors and children. We love to decorate our house, do home improvements, and really look forward to creating an adorable nursery.
We also love to cook and entertain, so our family celebrates many holidays with us at our house. Additionally, the elementary school in our town is known to be excellent, and is only four houses away. Education is important to us, so we are intending to provide the best education possible for a child. We will help him or her to succeed in school and provide every opportunity to pursue his or her interests and passions.
