Dear Birth Family:

When we sat down to write this letter, we quickly realized we have no idea what you must be thinking and feeling at this moment. So all we can do is express our sincere gratitude for placing your ultimate trust in us, the trust to care for your child. In return for that trust, we promise to do everything in our power to ensure your child has the best life has to offer. In return for that trust, we promise to surround them with love every single day and provide a safe home where they can explore, discover and play. In return for that trust, we promise to take great joy in learning who they are and support them as they grow. So while we cannot begin to understand the decision you are facing, we want you to know that we have the greatest respect for you and your child.
