We met in 1998 and enjoy various activities together including church, the outdoors, sports, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. We were married in summer 2001 on a lake setting. We believe the Lord blessed us with a beautiful day. The following March we were blessed with a beautiful baby boy, who we named Jordan. Birthdays and holidays are a special time for our family. We have lots of fun traditions, like birthday parties with themes such as Bob the Builder, Thomas the Train, and the Wiggles. In January, 2005 we were blessed with our second child, Haley. We have a cat and dog and like to keep in close contact with our family and friends.
Dear Birth parent:
We hope you have enjoyed a glimpse of our lives. We cannot imagine what you are enduring. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.
A little more about us… Nicole has a background in speech/language pathology and audiology. She has a true love for working with people who have disabilities. Nicole works only part time and enjoys spending the rest of the week with our children. Scott works as a software engineer.
We love God and the church is extremely important to us. We involve our children in activities they enjoy such as vacation bible school, music, swimming and baseball. We like to travel and see new places as a family. We also enjoy spending time with our family and friends. Nicole really enjoys pictures and scrap booking! Scott has a love for music and plays various instruments. Our son shares Scott’s love of music. And our daughter shares Nicole’s love for animals! We realize parenting is a challenging job. We were blessed with two biological children and have the capacity to have more. However, adoption has been planted in our hearts before we began having children. We both have a desire to help someone else.
In Ephesians 1:5 it says, “In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will.” In the same way Christ has adopted us into His family, we hope to adopt someone special into our family. We see your child as yours, ours and God’s. A child that will be loved by ALL! You are showing an amazing amount of unconditional love for your child by wanting to give the very best to him or her. We hope you feel we can also give that same amount of love that Christ so freely gave. As parents, we want to provide a loving, stable environment for our children. We plan on being very open to our child about their adoption as early as possible. Our prayer is for your child to feel confident and secure about who he or she is as a part of our family and at the same time feel the love experienced by you and God.
We hope and pray God will give you a peace about the many decisions you are making and all your questions are answered including any you have about us. We are willing to meet or talk to you by phone before you decide. We also support you if you choose no contact. We are also willing to give updates through an agency about your child if you so desire.
Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. More importantly, thank you for making such a selfless decision.
We will leave you with a verse that encourages us and hope it will do the same for you. “Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured our His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us!” Romans 5:3-5
